Compare the total amount you give up with the value of purchases you receive, while keeping unused balance separate from fees.

A useful comparison needs the same spending amount, currency and time period for every provider. Otherwise a low monthly subscription can look expensive against a one-off purchase, or a funding charge can disappear inside an exchange rate.

Build a cost sheet before choosing

Ask each provider for a current schedule and write down these items:

Card issuance and replacement charges.

Account, card or team subscription charges.

Blockchain withdrawal or network charges paid outside the card service.

Funding charges, including minimum fixed charges.

Conversion rate and any explicit currency-conversion fee.

Transaction-specific charges, if applicable.

Refund, withdrawal, inactivity and account-closure conditions.

Also record the base used for each percentage. “2%” is incomplete: does the provider deduct it from the sent amount, add it to your payment, or apply it after conversion? If the answer is unclear, request an example using your intended amount.

A worked example with invented numbers

The following numbers are illustrative and are not AIHUB prices. Assume every dollar-equivalent converts at exactly 1:1, with no exchange-rate movement or other charges.

You send $1,000 equivalent. Your sending wallet charges another $1. The card service deducts 2% of the $1,000 deposit, or $20, leaving $980. Card issuance takes $2 from that balance. You can now spend $978.

Total outlay is $1,001. If you spend the entire $978, the cost difference is $23. Relative to the purchasing value received, the effective cost is $23 ÷ $978 × 100 = approximately 2.35%.

The denominator matters. Calculating $23 against the $1,001 outlay answers a different question. Use one definition consistently when comparing services.

Do not mistake stored funds for fees

Suppose you spend only $600 from the same card and $378 remains available. The unused $378 is not an additional charge. Keep it as remaining value in your comparison, subject to the provider's access and withdrawal conditions.

The practical equation is: cost consumed equals outlay minus purchases received minus remaining usable value. In this example, $1,001 − $600 − $378 = $23. Whether you can later use or withdraw the balance is a separate decision that deserves its own line in the cost sheet.

For recurring use, estimate a month and a year. A $5 monthly fee, for example, would add $60 over a full year; spreading fixed costs across several purchases can change which option is cheaper. Again, this is arithmetic, not a quoted product tariff.

Compare scenarios, not just providers

Run at least three scenarios: one small purchase, your normal monthly volume, and a month with a refund or leftover balance. Include the merchant's billing currency. Do not assume a stablecoin's unit value guarantees a particular fiat conversion rate inside a service.

Save the tariff date and the quote shown before funding. When actual charges arrive, compare them with the estimate. A discrepancy becomes a specific support question: “Which fee base or conversion produced this difference?”

Apply the method to AIHUB

AIHUB's terms direct users to the applicable fee schedule. Use the current quote for the particular card and funding route; do not combine rates from different product tiers on the landing. AIHUB terms.

Before proceeding, you should be able to state three numbers: total outlay, expected purchasing value, and the amount that may remain on the account.
